jitsie air cleaners

Postby scorparides » Tue Apr 01, 2014 10:32 am

just fitted a jitsie air cleaner too my 06sy250 scorpa has anyone else noticed that the coarse foam which is spose too catch the larger dirt particals is on the inside of the airbox, meanin the finer coarse foam is filtering the air flow first. jitsie air cleaners are spose too be dual stage foam but they seem too be made arse about. Im sure they will work fine but seems strange too me. Note u cant turn inside out as it distorts the filter.

Pretty sure on the Scorpa the air box is inside out (sort of) so the air actually flows from the inside of the filter to the outside rather than the other way about. Don't know if this is what you are seeing or not. Is the coarse foam on the inside of the filter? :thumb:

Yup same with Sherco ,
I've always assumed it was just Jitsie being slack and designing them all the same as the gas Gas ones , air out to in , which where the first type they sold .
Poor really
