TRIALS WEEK SA 2017

Postby outfit65 » Thu May 18, 2017 7:52 pm

Hi everyone,
With a little over 4 months to go until the start of Trials Week SA 2017, I thought I'd start this thread to keep everyone updated with news and updates - and also use it as a Q & A for people who want questions asked - and if we can answer them, we certainly will!

To sum up the dates of Trials Week SA 2017 - here it is in a nutshell!
Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th September; 2017 South Australian Trials Championships
To be run @ Tungkillo by Chris Schultz & the Gawler MCC
Wednesday September 27th; the Mid-Week Event, the 2017 Peter Sparkes Sidecar Trophy & The Vanitone Classic Trial
To be run @ Eden Valley by the AJS MTC (and will also have classes for all)
Thursday September 28th; Vine Inn Barossa 2017 Australian Trials Championships official Practise Day
To be run by the Keyneton MCC & held @ Wilstine, Vine Vale
Friday September 29th; Vine Inn Barossa 2017 Australian Trials Championships official Practice Day, Section Walk & Scrutineering
To be run by the Keyneton MCC & held @ Wilstine, Vine Vale, as well as at the Championship site on Menglers Hill
Saturday September 30 & Sunday October 1; Vine Inn Barossa 2017 Australian Trials Championships
To be run by the Keyneton MCC on Menglers Hill in the Barossa Valley
Sunday October 1; Vine Inn Barossa 2017 Australian Trials Championships Presentation Dinner
To be run by the Keyneton MCC and held at the Vine Inn Barossa, Nuriootpa

SUPP REGS; The Supplementary Regulations for the Vine Inn Barossa 2017 Australian Trials Championships will be submitted to Motorcycling Australia very soon - and when they are ready, they will be released to the general public virtually straight away. The other events of Trials Week SA 2017 will follow shortly after.

Oceania; The Keyneton MCC, along with Trials South Oz & Motorcycling SA have also put in all the applications for the 2017 FIM Oceania Championship to be a part of the Vine Inn Barossa 2017 Australian Trials Championships.
The organisers have also requested that, if possible, 5 rider teams to be selected from the following classes;
Open Solo
Open Women
Open Junior
Junior Women
Junior Under13
(Back up class to be Youth Class if needed)
It was felt that this encompasses the present and future of trials in both countries, and what better way for some outstanding young talent to be introduced to 'International Competition' than with another classic ANZAC battle between the Aussies & the Kiwis!

Accomodation; Trials Week SA 2017 has already received some great support from the Vine Inn Barossa, as well as Barossa Tourism, so the first point of call for somewhere to stay should be The Vine Inn Barossa - https://vineinn.com.au - and then try Barossa Tourism for more options - http://www.barossa.com/ - and please let them know why you are coming over as well!

SUPPORT; So far the Championships are receiving some great support from a number of businesses, some involved directly with trials, some not so, but have supported the Keyneton MCC in previous Championships, and some are new to both, so a huge thanks already to;
The Vine Inn Barossa
Barossa Tourism
The Hell Team
Oset Bikes Downunder
Trialsport (scoring & online entry systems)
Sherco
GRO Global Racing Oils Australia
Emmetts
Barossa Valley Hire & Function Hire
Kessner Motorcycles
(If there are any businesses that want to/would like to be involved, a quick email to andtan@aapt.net.au with a request for an official sponsorship package will result in one winging its way back asap!

Also added are a couple of our draft posters for you to share around - plus we are also on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/trialsweeksa20 ... =bookmarks

Many thanks
Andrew Warnest
ATC Organising Committee Chairman

A very exciting day here in SA today - the Keyneton MCC have received the MA approved Supp Regs for the Vine Inn Barossa 2017 Australian Trial Championships, and featuring the 2017 FIM Oceania Trial Championship - and - MA have approved our request for the 2017 Championships to run with the 2016 Championship Classes - so the 3 Veterans classes and Masters WILL be Championship Classes in 2017!
Thanks to all around the country who have supported our efforts to make this happen - so now it's over to you riders - the best thing you Vets & Masters can now do is get those entries in, which, all being well, will open on Monday, July 17th - at http://www.trialsport.com.au!
Full list of all Championship & Support Classes are on the pic!
Seeya when you get here - you'll be Thunderstruck!

With the Supp Regs being released tomorrow morning, as well as entries opening for the Vine Inn Barossa 2017 Australian Trial Championships - it is worth mentioning the 'Championships within a Championship' that will also be taking place - and that is the 'Teams Championships - State, Trade & Club', details of which are all included in the supp regs - with a separate entry page also to be available at http://www.trialsport.com.au!
Like the flyer says - who, if anyone, is going to knock off last years champs - Team SA, The Hell Team and Pac Park TC!
Bring it on!

With the Supp Regs being released tomorrow morning, as well as entries opening for the Vine Inn Barossa 2017 Australian Trial Championships - it is worth mentioning a couple things in relation to Australia's, and New Zealand's trials girls!
Check out the flyer to see what classes are being run at all the Trials Week SA 2017 events - but in relation to Junior Women at the Australian Championships - with our 'big 3' of recent years in Sarah, Rory & Jasmine now aged out and riding seniors, the Junior Women's Class at the Championships is very much going to be about the 'next generation', so the girls are going to be put on a black line which only they will be riding (at this stage) and the sections will be set to suit!
By doing this we are hoping to get over 15 entries in the class for the first time, and by the looks of the pics from the Australian & South Australian Women's Cups - this is a great possibility - plus we hope to get a few of the younger girls riding Mini Trial as well - making it a possible Junior Women's total entry list of 25+!!
http://www.trialsport.com.au tomorrow morning for supp regs & entry details!!
