Re: Aussies in the Scottish
I always follow the progress of our Aussie riders at the Scottish 6 days trial and this year is no different.
I think Kyle Middleton had a difficult first day and must have had some problems as he was lying in 80th position and Chris Bayles was in 110th position.
At the end of the second day Kyle had moved up into 49th position, a massive improvement, and Chris had moved into 82nd position.
Matt Woodhouse also improved but I couldn't find Mark Austin in the 2nd day results.
From watching the SSDT for many years I know that the "Special First Class Awards" usually go up to around the 46th place getter and knowing Kyle's skills and ability I would expect to see him climbing higher in the finishers order in days to come as long as he remains trouble free.
Good luck to all our guys

Re: Aussies in the Scottish
Kyle has posted updates on his fb page - he got lost at the beginning of day 1 and went 25k out of his way. He did well to get back on track and on time. There's a great little vid of him on day one and you can hear a spectator towards the end of the section saying "He's a good rider". Kyle was much happier with his day 2 performance and felt like he was settling into the event better.

When you look at Kyles 2nd day score it was a top 20 performance which is what moved him up 31 positions, great stuff.

Re: Aussies in the Scottish
It looks like it was a tough 3rd day at the SSDT with our lads having mixed fortunes
Kyle in 57th place
Chris in 86th place
Matt in 212th place but slowly improving his position
Keep going guys only 3 more days.

Re: Aussies in the Scottish
According to the marks lost on the 4th day of the SSDT it was another tough day for the boys.
Chris had a really good day moving up to 70th position overall.
Kyle must have struck trouble again loosing 60 marks and dropping to 74th overall.
Matt maintained his steady progress climbing to 204th position, every day he has gained positions, keep going Matt
I have the greatest admiration for these guys, the weather is cold and wet and they travelled 90 miles yesterday, about 130kms !!, not real comfortable on a trials bike.
