It was a very positive week for the Team Beta Factoryrider James Dabill who came home in first position beating his close friend Dougie Lampkin by two marks.
To win the SSDT is very positive result for Beta and James who has honoured his leader plate – number 111 – conquered at the beginning and maintained until the last day. The Italian manufacturer is very proud that James rode in a very professional way being happy and relaxed but focusing on his job at the right times.
Great result also for Filippo Locca who was the first of the Italian riders to the finish line and 39th overall. Filippo conquered also the second position in the Newcomers class obtaining the “Ben Nevis” Prize.
This year as usual the Beta importer John Lampkin – supported by the Beta Factory Team Trial – supplied the service to the Beta riders who came from all over the world: UK, Ireland, New Zealand, France, Italy, Switzerland and Germany. As usual there are 280 starters and Beta had 90 bikes which is about a third of the entry from seven manufacturers. This again shows the reliability of the Evo bike which is famous for being easy to ride and very reliable it what is the toughest test for both rider and machine in the world.
