With the Australian Titles comming up soon 25 of the 34 QLD entries took the chance to get some quality practice in by participating in the LRMTC Battle of the beards. The weather was perfect for a great day of trials riding with 70 entries on the day. A lot of riders took advantage of emailing in thier entry forms and we were able to take entries right up untill the friday night before the event. Thank you to the last minute riders who took advantage of this as it reduced the amount of prelimanary work in the compitition tent on the day.
Justing Gough and Marice Blanchard amazed us two wheeled guys with thier sidecar antics and skill in just where you can go on a sidecar.
The Overflow did not disapoint again as being a great trials venue, from sandy creek sections to large rock bolders for the Open Solo guys to lauch themselves up. The club had set up 14 sections with Battle of the Beard competitors pitting thier skills agains all sections over three laps. and all other classes completing 4 laps of 10 sections. Some great thought had gone into setting the sections calling an all aspects of the riders skill. With all the sections set up in one area of the property it meant that the observers could get easy access to all sections an also reduced the need for the usual long loop on this property, Well done to the people responsible for the set up and a big thanks to the observers how gave of thier time to make a great event possible.
