The AJS MCC of Western Australia, Trial Division, in conjunction with our major Sponsors, Healthway WA, proudly presents the 2016 “Make Smoking History” Western Australian State Trial Championships to be held on Sunday 28th August. This year the championships will be held at the fabulous “Jimperding Farm”, the property of Dave and Georgie Thomas in Morangup, arguably one of the best trial locations in Western Australia.
A large field can expect challenging terrain with both wet and dry sections to contend with during the event. With many riders also stepping up this year, all the classes will be hotly contested. In A grade Neil Price will once again look to hold off all challengers to continue his dominance of the grade, as he aims to clinch his 11th State crown. B grade is anyone’s for the taking with a lot of new faces stepping up, but it will be hard to go past Jonathan Manton with his consistency. C grade has been ruled all year by Joel Patane with his super consistent riding and he will look to finish the year on a high before stepping up next season. Veterans and Club Class grades are so close in the results it’s anyone’s on the day. Also competing will be Sidecars which defy the rules of physics with their ability to go almost anywhere. This class has seen a resurgence in popularity with Scott Chapman and Wayne Cattach looking to hold onto their title but they will need to ride at their very best to beat off the new challengers.
Riding starts at 9:30 am with catering available. Follow the signs from the Morangup Road turnoff on the Toodyay road towards “Jimperding Farm” Morangup.
The entry fee for Spectators is $5/adult with children under 16 admitted free.
