Another year of the Vic Trial Series has been run and won with the 3 clubs (BRMCC, TCV & OMCC) making it a great trial series again.

With only a few riders turning up to do the A/Expert class, that wasn’t the case with the Masters class picking up its largest numbers for many years.

Again, C plus class has always been well received with Vets not far behind.

Zac once again turned up to 4 of the 5 rounds taking top spot once again in the A/Expert combined class with Josh Coleman lifting his game to take out 2nd spot.

Simon VB took 4 wins in the Masters to dominate it but rode the last round in A grade at Wildwood taking out another win which gives him 3rd place in A/Expert class.

We only had a few riders this year in B grade with Reece Chalmers stepping up and taking 1st place after a few season’s in C plus.

Stan had 2 wins and 2 second places to take out the C plus class from Grant Philips in 2nd and Jason Rigby in 3rd.

John Wilson had a convincing win in C grade with Craig Genner in 2nd and Sean Collins taking 3rd.

Our TDN manager, Phil Whittle took out 1st place in Vets closely followed by Ken Cook in 2nd and on equal points in 3rd was Angus McIntyre.

Young Bridie Sutton had a great year completing in Juniors taking 2nd but not far away from the winner Charlie Masovic.

What must have been the closest result in history was the Twin Shock riders of Peter Spencer (Honda TLR) and Paul Sens on his very well presented CZ. It all came down to the last round with each completing the day on same points, equal cleans, 1’s, 2’s and 3’s which mean not only riding of for the days result but also the Vic Trials series. A ride off at section 8 which happened to be a very rocky man made obsticles used for the Wildwood Extreme event. The only difference this time as they were required to ride of the C+ line.

First away was Paul keeping a very smooth ride until getting caught up midway with the bash plate hitting some rocks resulting in a 5. Peter was then away again looking very smooth but also got caught up on the same rocks that Paul faltered on. It was all legs pushing his bike with little to spare and only just managed to get over them so this meant a 3 at the end gate. With many other competitors watching on, it was very exciting with everyone encouraging both riders to do their best.

So the only thing to finish off this great year is the Presentation at the OMCC club grounds on the 11th Nov.

All us riders would like to that everyone that contributed to make this 5 round series a great success with the new year only a few months away.

Final series results attached.
