2021 Stanthorpe Classic

And the 2021 Stanthorpe Classic T5 winner is.....

On top of the disappointment of running second in last year’s inaugural Stanthorpe Classic, Justin Gough has had to relive the result endlessly in the last 12 months.
Last year’s winner, Tony Bax has never missed an opportunity to remind him of that incredible ride last year that saw the BSA rider take the crown.
Saturday, on the most glorious winters day, the tables were turned and Justin Gough took out the 2021 Stanthorpe Classic on board his Triumph 500 Twin, in stunning style. On what was one of the hardest Classic Trials we’ve seen, the Triumph pilot looked at ease on the bike which this was his first ride....

The T6 boys had their work cut out for as well, with tight turns and rocks the order of the day. The trial was taken out but Jordan Gollagher on a 1957 BSA B31 350 which he and his Pop built for the T6/Heavyweight class. Jordan puts his win up there with his best rides in his career but likened the day to “trying to park the Titanic in his bathtub”.

All in all, as usual, smiles all round, thanks to all involved and a big thanks to Robert Leggett for setting the trial up on his slice of trials heaven that is “Leighton”
