Adam Raga, holder of four world trials titles, did not miss his daily workout despite it being "WORLD AGAINST NOISE DAY" . He found a particular way: testing a Gas Gas electric trials bike! In addition, he wanted to do it in a place known for its natural beauty, and whose name speaks for itself, Valle del Silencio de León. See the video........
At a time when technology increasingly chases alternative energy, the automotive world, and particularly the trial world, could not stay behind. Adam Raga practicing this discipline in Valle del Silencio, surrounded by nature and "the friction of the wheels on the ground as the only sound" as Adam said after testing the bike.
As in the automotive industry with the emergence of the first hybrid cars on the market, major companies of two wheels are already testing models like this (a converted Gas electric bike eta-motors), and eyes on the potential for sale in 2012. The Catalan champion got into the electric bike, carried away by the sensations produced by a motor driven exclusively by electricity and that, moreover, is almost silent.

He chose the Valley of Silence, in the region of El Bierzo (León) for it's isolation and tranquility. This valley was also chosen long ago by St. Gennadius to retire to meditate! It is said that the murmur of the river would not let him concentrate so he struck his staff, ordering it to remain silent, and the river stopped making noise. Knowing this beautiful story, Raga chose the idyllic village of Santiago, where time seems to stand still, to ride the bike which could end up being the future for motorcycle trials. "It's amazing to ride in a place like this, surrounded by nature and which also it has special meaning for the World Day Against Noise."
After training, Raga said: "The sensations you experience in this environment is very different to when you ride in competitions or in training. You're not going to limit the enjoyment looking around in nature, and you recreate in what you do, not only on the bike, but also the world around you. I think this is the way that technology should follow: Always try to seek coexistence with the environment. "
The motorcycle used by Raga is a prototype created by the Spanish company Gas Gas and will be most likely marketed in 2012.Paul Arnott, Gas Gas Motos Australia.
