The Motorcycling Queensland Moto-Trials Subcommittee is busily putting the final touches together for this Saturday’s Queensland Arena Trials event at the Gold Coast’s Carrara Stadium.
Proudly sponsored by Sherco Motorcycles, the event will see 18 of the best Moto-Trials riders in the Southern Hemisphere do battle over a variety of man made ‘sections’, consisting of massive concrete pipes, shipping containers, huge logs and a tyre section just to name a few.
New Zealand rider Jake Whittaker - winner of last weekend’s Open Solo class at the Australian Moto-Trials Championships and the Gold Coasts’ very own Jack Field – the number 1 Freestyle Trials rider in the world, head a strong field of riders.
18 riders will start the day, and via a process of elimination, 5 riders will be left to contest the afternoon finals session.
“Moto-Trials is certainly a spectator sport, and is even more of a spectacle in the confines of an Arena” said event organiser Scott Carpenter.
“I’d encourage anyone looking for some real thrills and spills to get along and check out what these guys can do” continued Carpenter.
The staging of this, the inaugural Queensland Arena Trials event, is a fantastic culmination to Queensland Trials Week.
