Well known Trials identity, Simon Price, has been selected as the Motorcycling WA Coach of the Year for 2013. Simon's award was presented at the MWA Night of Champions last Friday night and caught him unaware of the honour, so for the first time in a long time, Simon was lost for words!
Simon is a life member of the Pathfinders Trials Motorcycle Club and has been an active Coach since 2008. His passion is junior coaching and development and he has been instrumental in developing the skills and talents of a number of State Champions – both present and past. During the year, Simon conducted numerous junior and senior trials coaching events with participants aged from 4 to 71 years at all skill levels - from raw first timers to the expert grades. During this year Simon organised for the 5th placed FIM Trial World Championship rider - Jack Challoner - to participate in a residential coaching event at Burekup (south west of Perth) which was well received by all participants and grew the level of active participation in Trials within the State.
Congratulations Simon.
