Tickets now on sale for Australian Motor Sport Hall of Fame Dinner

Tickets have officially gone on sale for the inaugural Australian Motor Sport Hall of Fame gala dinner presented by Speedcafe.com to be held in Melbourne on Saturday, March 19, 2016.

The event will be a highlight of the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix weekend with the black-tie gala dinner held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Tickets are limited and are $295 for individual tickets, with priority tables of 10, along with Platinum and Gold Partnerships available.

The project was originally instigated by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport and has since received support from Motorcycling Australia, Karting Australia, the Australian National Drag Racing Association, Speedway Australia, the Australian Grand Prix Corporation and V8 Supercars.

A total of five of the 10 Platinum Partnerships have already been sold to the Australian Grand Prix Corporation, V8 Supercars, Imagine Technology, Famous Insurance and the CAMS Foundation. Enquiries would indicate the remainder will be sold out in coming weeks.

Sales of the Gold Partnerships, priority tables of 10 and individual tickets have also been strong, according to Australian Motor Sport Hall of Fame chairman, Garry Connelly.

“The presale reaction to the Australian Motor Sport Hall of Fame presented by Speedcafe.com has been overwhelming,” said Connelly.

“I think the motor sport community and fans have realised immediately the importance of this night and where it will sit in Australian motor sport history.

“We are gathering the “royalty” of all disciplines of motor sport and putting them in the same room for the first time. We will obviously be paying tribute to legends who are no longer with us and they will be represented by family members.

“We are putting together an audio visual framework to the night which will simply be world class.

“We will also be working with our official media partners Speedcafe.com on a thorough coverage of the night for those that cannot make it.

“We have already sold five of the 10 Platinum Partnerships and we are expecting the remaining packages and tickets to be snapped up in coming weeks.”
