The Trials Club of Victoria and the many volunteers have achieved an enormous amount in preparing the site for the Championships. Now that each of the 15 Sections has been identified and cleaned the section setting team has commenced preliminary marking and the event is finally taking shape and is no longer just a vision by a few.
This event requires approx. 200 volunteers to make it happen, many of these being observers and the response from interstate people to help fill this role has been very pleasing. I’m sure all the volunteers will get a huge buzz out of assisting in some way to the success of this World Championship event in showcasing our sport.
The community of Maldon is enthusiastically coordinating their involvement with the event and striving to enhance the experience of their village to all the visitors and competitors.
Accommodation choices in both Maldon and Castlemaine are just about exhausted and Bendigo is quite heavily booked so those of you who haven’t booked should attend to it asap.
We received confirmation that the top world pro riders will compete in Australia and this has been reinforced by the notification from the FIM that they have now cemented their relationship with DHL, the worldwide logistics organisation, and the competitors bikes have been booked in for delivery to Australia and then onto Japan for rounds 5 and 6.
Prime 7, our major sponsor, will commence advertising this coming week so we expect the response will generate significant interest which presents a great opportunity for all of us to promote the Championship.
So, as our preparation moves into the final stages over the next 5 weeks we look forward to the continued support from all Australian trials riders by actively promoting throughout your network and if you require any printed material to assist just drop us an email.
